Bloom’s first project in Laos – in December 2018, Bloom completed and installed a project for a eucalyptus forestry client in Laos (growing two million eucalyptus saplings per year).
The project involved three key components:
1. the complete renovation and overhaul of an irrigation system for the nursery
2. the design and installation of one of Bloom’s proprietary water treatment systems to prevent against the spread of ralstonia solanacearum from irrigation water
3. drainage and flood prevention consultancy; Bloom’s team provided expert advice to help prevent against future risk of flooding in the nursery area, as well as installing a drainage system comprising a pumping station with two high capacity pumps and 700 metres of pvc piping to allow water evacuation
Bloom’s most recent water treatment installation has a 60m3/hour capacity, and arrived at the site pre-installed on a skid.
