Mark Johnston carries more than 20 years of experience in financial markets, with roles covering private equity, asset management and investment banking. He has broad sector knowledge of agribusiness production, agribusiness technology, water investment, commodity processing, renewable energy, plantation forestry and infrastructure across developed, emerging and frontier markets. He has lived and worked in different regions around the world, including Southeast Asia, Australasia and the Middle East.

Mark has held senior positions with financial institutions such as Rabobank, Al Arabi Capital (a private equity and investment banking arm of Arab Bank Group), Al Jaber Group, CIBC World Markets and Brierley Investments Limited (a joint venture company).

From his sector and international experience, Mark has developed a skillset that combines the sourcing of food, agribusiness and forestry investment opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, project financing, and the development and management of resource assets.

Mark holds graduate and postgraduate qualifications in agriculture and finance from universities in Australia and New Zealand.
